Jaima’s recent experience includes:

  • Successfully proving a Swedish Will in English Courts, as the Swedish Will had revoked the deceased English Will. Obtaining the necessary evidence and supporting documents, including tracing the witnesses to the Will to obtain affidavit statements
  • Managing an intestate estate administration with forty-seven beneficiaries based across the world where a person had died without leaving a valid Will and arranging distribution of their entitlements
  • Running an estate administration where the partners of the firm had become independent administrators to take over from another firm of solicitors. Establishing the losses to the estate because of the delays and co-working alongside litigation experts to successfully reach a settlement for the estate for the loss suffered because of delays in submitting the inheritance tax account to HMRC and claiming the tax allowances
  • Providing inheritance tax and succession planning advice for clients with assets in various jurisdictions and liaising with their legal advisers in those jurisdictions to achieve their estate planning objectives
