Lucy Fairey graduated from the University of Leeds
with a first class Law degree in 2013.

Lucy joined PCS in December 2021 as an Associate after gaining invaluable private client experience with national law firms in the North-West.

She qualified as a Solicitor in September 2016 and achieved “TEP” (Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner) status in 2020. She was promoted to Senior Associate in July 2023.

She has exemplary academic qualifications having obtained a First-Class Law degree from the University of Leeds in 2013, a distinction in her Legal Practice Course from the University of Law, Manchester and was recognised as a high achiever in her STEP exams.

She takes an active role in the Manchester Law Society Private Client Committee and regularly attends meetings with other practitioners to discuss current issues, changes in the law and to ensure that her knowledge remains up to date. She was appointed to the STEP Manchester Branch Committee in May 2024.

Lucy has experience in all aspects of Private Client law including:

  • Mental capacity and creation & registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney

Lucy deals with the whole breadth of private client work but particularly enjoys:

  • Assisting with urgent and complex Court of Protection cases
  • Acting for professional trustees and advising lay trustees on the administration and taxation of trusts
  • Administering large, complex, and cross-jurisdiction estates
  • Advising on the establishment and registration of charities
  • Taking instructions in relation to lifetime planning such as Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
