PCS RETAINS PLACE AMONG LEGAL ELITE

Private Client Solicitors (PCS) has retained its place in the top tier of one of the UK’s most prestigious legal rankings.

The announcement means that it has featured in Band One of the Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide in successive years despite only opening its doors two years ago.

The firm’s partners are also recognised as being among the country’s leading legal practitioners.

Managing Partner Tasnim Khalid is once more among a handful of experts to achieve Band One status, while Senior Partner Paul Gotch and Partner Nicola Walker make up half of the lawyers in Band Three for Manchester and the surrounding area.

The Chambers and Partners’ classification follows a further period of dramatic growth for PCS.

Ms Khalid has revealed that the firm has more than doubled staff numbers and caseload during the course of the last 12 months.

She added that the latest ranking underlined how PSC had quickly cemented itself as the North West’s only boutique private client firm and one of the most trusted advisors around.

“Being included again alongside far more established firms is a sign of development as well as our ability to and maintain the standards which we set right at the start.

“We have proven that the emphasis which we place on providing the very best level of support to clients dealing with some incredibly challenging issues has clearly found favour.

“I don’t underestimate either the importance of having built very solid relationships with wealth managers and our legal peers in the North West and much further beyond.

“Being relied on by them to help their own clients is something which we are all immensely proud of and one reason why we are only looking to enhance our service still further.

“The growth which we have seen over the last 12 months and the plans which we have already set in place augur very well for our future.”

The Chambers’ High Net Worth rankings consider leading professional advisers to wealthy individuals and families in the UK and elsewhere around the world

Its team analyses more than 55 countries in total and conducts extensive research into the capabilities of more than 3,800 lawyers over a nine-month period each year.

Chambers described how Private Client Solicitors offers a “more personable boutique service to high-net-worth individuals and business owners with enhanced privacy”, adding that its collective knowledge is “second to none”.

The firm has, it concluded, “a particular ability to handle diverse issues across the team on Shari’a law and international assets and estates” with no client being “too big or too small”.

Chambers and Partners described Ms Khalid as “an expert in her own right” who “does the best for you and your family”.

Ms Walker, it explained, “combines a sophisticated level of expertise”, while Mr Gotch was capable of “excellent work”.

The Chambers and Partners ranking confirms some of the reasons why Private Client has experienced rapid growth after launching in August 2021.

The firm, which deals with wills, trusts, inheritance tax, estate and succession planning among many other topics, is the only boutique private client firm in the North West and has clients across the UK and internationally.

It maintains headquarters at Centurion House in Manchester city centre and now employs 32 staff, 24 of whom are fee earners.
